Training Programs

Choosing the right training program is an important part of your flight training. Great Lakes Air Ventures offers training under FAR Part 61 and FAR Part 141. Each training program has their benefits and if you can't make up your mind about which is better for you, one of our flight instructors can help you decide during your discovery flight!

FAR PART 61

Training under FAR part 61 is driven by the student and their availability. These students are able to complete all the programs in a structure that works best for them and in a timeframe that works best for their schedule!

FAR PART 141

Training under FAR part 141 is more regimented than FAR part 61. The training program is designed to help students gain qualifications and skills to help them become professional pilots in less flight time.
