A private pilot certificate is your ticket to take to the skies. This is where our students begin their training and will be the first certificate you earn.
Private Pilot Requirments
At least 17 years old (Can start training before then!)
Pass the FAA written knowledge test
Receive at least 40 hours of flight time training
Pass an FAA Private Pilot Checkride

50 Hours Airplane rental - $6,500
30 Hours Flight Instructor - $1,950

Once you have your private pilot’s certificate, improve your aviation skills with Instrument Flight Training. IRA allows you to fly in and above the clouds and also allows you to fly under an Instrument Flight Plan.

Pass FAA written knowledge test
50 Hours of cross country time as PIC
40 Hours of actual or simulated instrument time

After receiving your Private Pilot Certificate and Instrument Rating, you get your Commerical Pilot Certificate. This program gives you training to refine your skills and teaches you how to make safe decisions while flying for hire.
Commerical Pilot Requirments
Hold at least a current Private Pilot Certificate
Pass FAA written knowledge test
250 Hours of flight time with at least 100 hours as PIC
20 Hours of training in the following areas:
10 Hours of instrument training
10 Hours in Complex or TAA aircraft
2 Hour cross country with a straight line distance of at least 100 nautical miles (1 in day conditions and 1 in night conditions)
1 Cross country flight of at least 300 nautical miles total distance landing landings at 3 airports and one straight line distance of at least 250 nautical miles
Instrument Rating Costs
80 Hours Airplane rental - $14,400

If you are looking for the added safety of two engines, you can receive your private pilot or commercial pilot multi engine with us! You will learn how to manage two engines and what to do if you lose an engine while flying.
Multi Engine Add-On Requirements
Hold at least a current Private Pilot Certificate
There is no minimum required hours for a multi engine add-on, but students usually need 6-10 hours
