Your First Complete Flight Lesson ~ $210 Learn the basics of flying as you complete two hours of ground instruction, and one hour of flying! The first lesson covers the pre-flight inspection, fundamental maneuvers, as well as a post-flight briefing. The flight will be completed to standards listed in the private pilot syllabus and will be endorsed in your logbook as a certified flight lesson.
Pilot Supplies ~ Variable GLAV offers any book or publication from ASA or Jeppesen. Many other things such as software or simulators can be bought at a discount through GLAV.
Private Pilot Ground School ~ $400 Offered in January, May and September when there are three or more students to fill the class. Over 35 hours of instruction is packed into one night a week (two nights a week for May over 7 weeks) for 14 weeks. This course prepares you to take the appropriate FAA written exam as well as the Oral and Flight Exam.
Private Pilot Complete Ground & Flight Training Materials Starter Package ~ $225 The Starter Pack includes your first logbook, Practical Test Standards, a fuel strainer, Training Course Syllabus, Ground School Text, Flight School Text, Current Test Prep text, Current FAR/AIM, Private Pilot Oral Exam Guide, ASA Flight Bag, Map Plotter, and a Metal E6B. This great value ensures you have all your books to get you through your private pilot license.
Instrument Rating Ground School ~ $400 Offered in January, May and September when there are three or more students to fill the class. Class structure is set up in a similar manner to the Private Pilot Ground School.
Instrument Rating Complete Ground & Flight Training Package ~ $255 The Instrument Training Package includes Jeppesen Instrument/Commercial Manual, Instrument PTS, Risk Management Handbook, FAA-H08261-1A Instrument Procedures Handbook, ASA-8083-15A Instrument Flying Handbook, Instrument Plotter, FAR/AIM, Instrument Syllabus, Student Flight Records Folder, Written Test Prep Pack with Software, and ASA Instrument Oral Exam Guide. All for a package price of $255.
